The International Celtic School Of Languages are pleased to announce that we have now added TIE [test of interactive English] to our list of available qualifications which can be obtained from our school. This learner-based exam is administered by ACELS, the body set up by the dept.of education and science to assure the quality of English language teaching and learning in Ireland. The exam itself is task based, suitable for learners of all levels, and caters for the following types of learner.
Learners of English for general purposes.
Learners of English for business purposes.
Learners of English for academic purposes.
Learners of English as a second language.

The test is available all year round and is offered in two formats. The first is The Junior TIE [a test for secondary school learners] and the second is TIE [a test for post secondary learners.] For further and more in-depth information about the test visit www.iol.ie/~acels.tie

The International Celtic School of Languages prepares students for Cambridge International Exams including the:
* First Certificate in English (F.C.E.),
* The Certificate in Advanced English (C.A.E.),
* The Certificate of Proficiency in English (C.P.E.),
* The International English Language Testing System (I.E.L.T.S.).

Full time: 20 lesson per week totalling 15 hours tuition
Part time: 6 hours per week at evening times.

All Exams are held in Cork and /or Dublin Universities.
The F.C.E. or First Certificate in English is widely recognised in commerce and industry, and by educational institutions in Ireland, Britain and overseas as proof of language ability at an intermediate level.

The C.A.E. or Cambridge Advanced Examination emphasises real-world tasks.

It is suitable for people who require English for professional or study purposes and fulfils English language entrance requirements at most Irish & British universities.

The C.P.E. or the Certificate of Proficiency
This is an examination at the advanced level. It is recognised as fulfilling English language requirements by Irish & British universities and for business and academic purposes overseas.

The I.E.L.T.S. or International English Language Testing System
Recognised as an entrance requirement by Irish, British, Australian, New Zealand and Canadian universities and for secondary, vocational and training programmes. Contact the school for the exact date that the I.E.L.T.S. exam is being offered in the month that you would like to take the exam.
